Wasque 26 Endless Summer Marblehead, MA

Endless Summer

I have never been a big fan of powerboats, as sailboats have been ingrained in my life since I was a small boy. Sailboats have always provided me with a sense of freedom. There is something magical about bringing the bow of the boat across the wind and hearing the luff of the sails, while the soothing sound of water running alongside the topsides serves as comforting background melody. Sometimes, the experience can be exhilarating, especially when the wind and waves intensify, and your sole focus becomes keeping the boat steady. The lessons I have learned from sailing apply to my everyday life, as there are countless things beyond my control that have required me to make adjustments.

Over the years, I have had the opportunity to be on various powerboats, ranging from small skiffs, and Boston Whalers, to center consoles as well as mega yachts. As a young boy, I did enjoy buzzing around in a dingy with a small outboard motor - that was undeniably thrilling. However, it wasn’t until I had the pleasure of a remarkable ride on a Wasque 26 that I truly discovered the sheer pleasure of a classic, well-designed powerboat. This particular vessel was meticulously maintained, with attention given to every small detail. What truly amazed me was how it gracefully handled the waves. Instead of bouncing through the water, it effortlessly cut through the waves, reminiscent of a sailboat. It was an incredibly pleasant experience that left me in awe.

I wholeheartedly salute the designer and builder of this amazing boat, as their craftsmanship and ingenuity is truly remarkable. Additionally, I give a resounding “high-five” to the owner for his tender loving care, ensuring his boat remains a testament to the beauty and joy of his world of power boating.
