Old Town Hall Salem, MA

Old Town Hall in Salem, MA is consider one of the most haunted buildings in all of Salem. Word is nothing really ever happened here. I beg to differ. The treatment of the women during the Puritans rule over Salem was nothing short of evil and horrific. If it is in fact haunted it must because of the tortured women have come back to remind us all of the cruelty that destroyed their lives.

Mercy Tavern Salem, MA

Mercy Tavern located on Derby Street in Salem, MA was once one of the most “bad ass” brothels. Salem had dozens of brothels located throughout the city as there were hundred of sailors that spent many months out at sea. Sea Captains would visit it to try and get volunteers to crew on their ships. It’s reported that if there were no volunteers men would often disappear.

Salem, MA has more than a handful of hidden gems and one of them is Salem Willows. It is a 35 acre ocean front park operated by the Salem Park, Recreation & Community Services Department.
