The hotel was re-sold in 1941 to Resort Hotels, Inc. owned and operated by the Vacassouvich family of Marblehead. Later in 1958 the property became the Quarterdeck Yacht Club, but closed in 1963. It stood empty until 1965, but was demolished to make way for the Glover Landing complex.
