Golfing in Peninsula Papagayo, Costa Rica
Common requirement when renting a villa is the ability to play golf
One of the most common requests we get at Generating Media from potential villa renters is concerning their ability to play golf. The golf courses in the Caribbean are very difficult to maintain because of the demand the courses place on the water supply plus many of the islands simply do not have the space or landscape that is suitable to develop a golf course. We have traveled extensively through out the Caribbean and have found the best golf courses to be in Barbados.
Golfing in Peninsula Papagayo, Costa Rica
When we traveled to Peninsula Papagayo in Costa Rica, we were overwhelmed by the beauty and condition of the Arnold Palmer-designed course which is par-72 that plays to 6,788 yards. It has vistas on 15 of the holes. The first hole is a long par-5 at 543 yards. The 12th hole includes 601 yards and the 18th hole at 550 yards.
At Generating Media we realize when potential renters are going through their discovery process they do not just focus on the villa, but rather the quality of life and options where the villa is located. Not only does the villa itself need to be a “good fit” but the entire package of the environment meet their expectations.
Golf can be an activity of choice, but Peninsula Papagayo has a complete menu of wonderful activities for a wide variety of possibilities. This includes swimming, surfing, biking, hiking, paddleboards, tennis, jet ski, sport fishing, sailing, snorkeling, scuba diving, zip-lining, bird watching, fabulous fresh natural food dining, and a host of additional ones. The concierge at CieloMar will not just suggest the activities but will help plan and coordinate them.
If golf is one of the core requirements you will not be disappointed, but rather in “AWE” as the layout and conditions are nothing short of amazing. The clubhouse is about 5 minutes from CieloMar and the 13th tee is located right across the street and cart path.
There are top-rated golf clubs to rent along with all the necessary accessories. By all means, bring your camera or phone to take lots of photographs.
