We were contacted to provide interior, exterior, aerial photographs, and video for a new real estate listing at 12 Shepard Ave in Swampscott, Ma. Right away we thought this was going to be fun as we knew the home was very close to Preston Beach.
When we pulled down the street it was one of those extremely hot summer days. The first thing we did was try and find a shady spot to try and park the car that was not going to interfere with our aerial shots. The neighborhood was filled with lovely homes all with nice landscaping, but what really caught our attention was the families walking down the street pulling wagons and pushing strollers on their way to the beach club at the end of the street. What a great feature to have in the neighborhood to be able to walk to the beach. As the day progressed and the temperature continued to rise. More and more families found their way down the street in their bathing suits carrying towels.
Capturing the property from the sky
Right away we sent our drone in the air to capture the property from a bird’s eye point of view and it’s proximity to the water. This is one of the key advantages to living at this address. The ocean breezes provide natural air-conditioning versus living inland.
It Takes a Team
The owner and real estate agent did an excellent job of preparing the property for the real estate market. Special thanks for making our job far easier by doing the work of making it “photo-ready”. The lawn was freshly cut and manicured. The inground sprinkler system had obviously been used to keep the lawn green. The gardens were filled with well-established shrubs and flowers. Nice presentation. It was a joy to not have to walk around the yard and pick up items that needed to be put away or would be distracting in the photographs and video. Cars were also not parked in the driveway or out front. Right away we could get started.
The Interior was spotless
The interior of the home was also in great shape. No clutter, artwork was level, beds were made without wrinkles, bathrooms were clean without products laying around, the kitchen looked fabulous as the counters were clean and not filled with all kinds of appliances, and the floors were clean.
The work the owner and real estate agent did to prepare the home was a sign of great teamwork. This is so important because high-resolution photographs capture all imperfections. Items that are out of place explode in the photographs and distract the viewer. There are only a few seconds for the photographs to capture the imagination and emotion of the potential buyer. It is important to try and allow the photographs to make an emotional connection with potential buyers.
