Harbor Master Houseboat 52’ For Sale

This week we were asked by the owner of a Harbor Master 52’ houseboat to photograph it for him. He has been living on it year round at the Charlestown Marina in Charlestown, MA. It turned out to be a beautiful day with plenty of sun and warm temperatures.

It was a wonderful adventure to be exposed first hand to the Charlestown Marina and have access to a totally different lifestyle. The marina was busy with all kinds of people on the docks and preparing their boats for the big transition from winter to warmer days.

The owner could not have been more gracious. The big question is …”Will the houseboat be photo ready?”. Without question, the owner had gone way above what most home owners do to prepare for the marketplace. The first thing that caught our attention was the dining room table was set with fresh flowers. This set the mood right away as we knew this owner “Get’s IT”! Without any coaching, he was ahead of the game. His attention to detail was intended to encourage potential buyers to have an emotional connection with his houseboat.

What a great alternative to living in a stuffy crowded condo with most likely no view or sense of connection with your neighbors. As we were taking photographs, his neighbors would walk by and ask “Where is Joe?” We thought that was pretty special as we have found it rare in so many neighborhoods people don’t know their neighbors names.
