Classic Board Games - Monopoly - Scrabble - Clue

We feel most fortunate to have connected with a company called WS Game Company, which was formerly called Winning Solutions. This company was founded by two individuals that spent a good part of their careers working for Parker Brothers and Hasbro.

Several of the Hasbro customers had reached out to inquire if they would produce some customized versions of their standard off the shelf existing classic board games such as Monopoly, Scrabble, and Clue. It is our understanding Hasbro was not interested in producing smaller runs of their existing games. At this point in their careers, they decided to inquire to Hasbro if they could become licensee of the Hasbro brand and begin producing customized versions.

Having grown up playing the standard board games, we were delighted to see there has been a renewed interest and demand. We always found it great to have our friends and family sit down and play these games. It provided some great interactive quality time. Plus to be honest, it was even better to win!

WS Game Company has been extremely effective at producing fantastic versions of the traditional board games. The entire presentation has been created that you don’t want the board game to sit in your closet, but rather have it out in the open for “bragging rights”. The other additional value these up-scale versions play is they become more visible in your home. You’re much more likely to play them if you can see them. Stuffed in your closet you don’t even think about them.

When Covid hit we were all stuck isolated in our homes. Board games provided a great option. Families spent lots more time together and always looking for things to do. WS Game Company sales increased by a healthy percentage. Let’s hope people continue to play board games more frequently.

Standard board games can take up a lot of space, but WS Game Company found a design that looks fantastic and easily fit on any bookshelf. Interesting enough, below is a photograph we took while staying in a wonderful hotel in Maine. When we walked into the room we spotted the games sitting on the bookshelf.

The television show Frazier had a wonderful episode where the cast decided to teach Woody about finances by playing Monopoly. It brings to light the traditional argument as to who would be the banker and as always the cheating factor. This video clip is ” laugh out loud” funny.

Embedded in our memory banks are the hours spent at home, on our boat, visiting with friends and family playing board games. We certainly would like to encourage everyone to visit the WS Game Company website where you will find all of their board games at different price points. You can purchase them online. You will not be disappointed.

For another good laugh below is a clip of Frasier vs Woody in a game of chess. Once again board games represent a fun way to interact with others.

We just could not help ourselves, but to add a video clip of Frasier playing Pictionary. Like most games it brings out people’s competitive spirit.
