Home Depot - Halloween
Fun Experience at Home Depot
For decades I’ve struggled with having to make the trip to Home Depot. Not exactly my favorite store because when I’m going there it generally means something is not working and I have to find a way to fix it or buy a new one. Either way, it is always painful.
Yesterday was no different. With the cooler weather coming at night it was time to put the propane fire pit to good use. Attached the propane tank to the regulator hose. Trouble is there was a hissing noise like a gas leak. Even with trying to tighten up the regulator hose the noise was still there. With company coming the next night, I needed to go to Home Depot to see if there was a regulator hose replacement.
I was not looking forward to fighting the traffic and searching down the isles for a new regulator hose. It did not take long for me to become a grump!
What a surprise I was given as I walked through the entrance of Home Depot to see numerous Halloween items on display. I could not help but see them as they were enormous and extremely colorful. The best part was watching two little girls sneak up and step on a button on the floor that made the crazy figures move and light up! I could not stop laughing as the girls would continuously sneak up, step on the button, and bolt like they did something wrong. It was pure entertainment at its best.
I have to give high marks to the people that thought of the idea as well as the ones that actually made them. It was great to see someone have the imagination and courage to actually produce them. What would be most interesting would be to have been a witness at the meeting with the Home Depot Purchasing Department to see if they would consider including these figures as part of their inventory.
If you have to go to a Home Depot, I would recommend going before Halloween so you can get a glimpse.
