Simply a Beautiful Designed Sailboat

Having been raised in a sailboat family, I became very acquainted with wooden sailboats. As much as I hated all the sanding, sanding, sanding, and sanding, I must confess wooden boats are far more beautiful in terms of overall appearance and what my father always referred to as having “beautiful lines”.

In 2013, I was informed by one of our clients that he had decided to have a custom designed 36 foot sailboat built at Rockport Marine. He already had several boats, but apparently he wanted another project. In the above video, you will have the pleasure of seeing what an absolute stunning sailboat Rockport Marine built. It was designed by Ted Fontaine. My big regret is I never had the pleasure of taking out for a sail.

What rocked my world is it is ten years later. The owner sold the boat and never used it. What a shame! My guess is the owner loved the process of the development , design, and final product. I have to say he has amazing vision, imagination, and the financial resources to complete this type of project.

Once again, the photographs and video captured my emotions and was relevant to my particular dreams in life.
